What is Sleuth?

Sleuth is a Salesforce application that has the ability to prevent and eleminate duplicate data entries in Accounts, Contacts, and Leads. Sleuth runs in the Pervasive DataCloud and will scour all of your existing records in Salesforce and display a warning message on the duplicate with options to fix the duplicate through a rename or merge. 

In addition, a notification is sent out via e-mail to the account, contact, or lead owner to alert the user that a duplicate was created.

 

What versions of Salesforce do you support?

Salesforce Professional Edition (w/the products module), Enterprise Edition and the Non-Profit Edition

What versions of QuickBooks do you support?

QuickBooks 2007 and later US, QuickBooks 2008 UK and Canada

How much is DataSynch?

DataSynch is $75 a month no matter how many users you have on either application.

Can I get a demo of DataSynch?

You may trial DataSynch free for 30-days by clicking here and going through the signup process. You'll then receive further instruction via e-mail.

What is your support policy?

Support is included with your $75 a month subscription fee. Asking a question via the support forums is the quickest way to get help as the entire team is notified of a new post. You may also submit a helpdesk ticket or send an email to support@pervasivedatasolutions.com (be sure to include the name of your company and the words DataSynch in the subject line of your email). All support requests are answered within the next business day. We answer requests on a first come first serve basis and expedite more serious issues to the top.

Can DataSynch be customized?

No, DataSynch is an out-of-the-box turnkey solution. If you need something custom, please send your request to sales@pervasivedatasolutions.com with the subject ‘Request for custom integration’ and we’ll pass it on to our custom integration division.

Is DataSynch bi-directional?

Yes, you also have control to make DataSynch uni-directional within the configuration screen if you choose.

Do I install DataSynch on every machine that uses multi-user mode?

No, only install DataSynch where the main installation of QuickBooks resides.

When is a QuickBooks transaction generated?

A transaction in QuickBooks will be created once an Opportunity in Salesforce is marked ‘Closed Won.’ This will happen on the next synchronization.

Can I run the synch real time?

No, our current options for scheduling are every :15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 12 hours, 24 hours or Never(for manual synching)

What transaction types can we generate in QuickBooks from Salesforce

  • Invoices
  • Sales Orders
  • Sales Reciepts
  • Credit Memos
  • Estimates

If I create one of the above transactions in QuickBooks, what will happen in Salesforce?

A ‘Closed Won’ Opportunity with our custom field ‘QB Transaction Type=(whichever transaction you created)’ will be generated in Salesforce.

What if I don’t want sales reps to automatically generate invoices in QuickBooks?

You can do one of two things:

  1. Create a workflow rule for reps that requires any Opportunity they mark as ‘Closed Won’ to be approved by the person or group of your choosing.
  2. Disable the ‘Closed Won’ stage for reps and create a new stage that notifies you. You can then mark each Opportunity as ‘Closed Won’ yourself.

If I switch endpoints during my subscription, can I switch connections? (ie QuickBooks to QuickBooks Online)

Absolutely, simply email sales@pervasivedatasolutions.com with the subject ‘Tradeup’ and let us know which connection you’d like to switch to. This only applies to packaged solutions we have pre-built (see our current product line).

Preventing duplicates using Sleuth is a free service. However, soon we will have a paid subscription plan that will allow you to eliminate existing duplicates.
