    Changing "Lockdown Date"?

    Answer
I now see a "Lockdown Date" on the main Datasynch screen. What does that do? I had a (SFDC password) issue that prevented me from getting a successful Datasynch for 2 weeks. Now, I see a "Last Successful Run Time" of 2 weeks ago and a "Lockdown Date" of yesterday. Shouldn't these two dates match? How do I change the "Lockdown Date" so everything gets synced? David

    Answer

DataSynch uses the lockdown date to filter QuickBooks Transactions and Salesforce Opportunities. Transactions and Opportunities before this date are not synched in the scheduled synch.

If, however, you need to synch an Opportunity into QuickBooks, the on-demand synch button in Salesforce still works.

I have dozens and dozens of unsynched Opportunities! How do I change the "Lockdown Date" so everything gets synced instead of manually looking for what is not synced and clicking on on-demand synch button on-by-one? David

    Answer

Two options assumming the Opportunity Close Dates fall before the Lockdown Date

    1. Change the Opportunity Close Dates
    2. Use the Lockdown Date override.

Now that I used that URL, it seems that any subsequent DataSynchs use the same Lockdown Date. How do I tell DataSynch to go back to original logic instead of using that date I manually inserted in the URL? - David

I am a little confused. Would you like to change it to the previous used lockdown date?

If you want to change the lockdown date again, use the same link and change it to use whatever date you desired. After the synch finishes, the new date will be saved in the configuration.

Sorry for the confusion. Perhaps it is me that is confused ;-) Can you document the Lockdown date further? How and when is the Lockdown Date NORMALLY set? Without my changing of the URL manually, is the Lockdown Date set to the Last Successful Run Date? - David

The lockdown date is set to the first time you configure DataSynch.

    Answer

You can also change the last successful run time in the same manner but you will use the link:

    http://localhost:1337/phaip/integration/run.action?name=QuickBooks_to_Salesforce&metric.LastRun=MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS

where you set the date and time that you prefer.
