Request for A User Manul for DataSynch for MSCRM<==>QB

    Answer

I have gone though the documentation area of your website and have not found much on MSCRM<==>QB.  It could be that I am looking in the wrong place or most of your documentation pertains to SalesForce.  My impression at the moment is your documentation pertains mostly to SalesForce.  We are having difficulties with the trial version and more documention would certainly alleviate these difficulties and frustrations.

Is there a User Manual?  If there is, where is it?  Is it available in PDF?  Is there any documentation on the trial version?  I realize you have an installation guide.  Even that lacks some critical detail especially concerning the Server/Host Name.  I would like to see documentation on how to use the trial version after it has been installed.  I believe that the trial version is a slimmed down version of the full version.  Would you please clarify that this is true?  If it is true, you have not made this fact explicitly clear on your website or in the download.  Would you please warn the user that this version lacks features that the full version contains?

    Thanks,

    Answer

The trial version should contain all the features of the main version of the software.  What feature are missing or inactive for you?

With regard to the documentation, I will grab a copy and email it to you directly.  I will also ensure that we make this available in the future within the documentation section of the website.

Also, as always feel free to post any questions regarding the applications use directly within the forum and we will answer.

    Answer

    Hi Jesse,

I believe one of the missing features is integrating products.  First, the interfaces between what is shown in your demo and the trial product are different.

Here is the interface for the trial product:

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Here is the interface from the demo:

The screen shot from the demo is a little fuzzy because it was small to begin with.  It is clear however that the interfaces are different.  I believe the primary difference is the ability to integrate products.  As you can see on the screen shot of the trial, only the following are synchronized:

      . Accounts
      . Quotes
      . Sales Orders
      . Invoices

When I tried to send invoice data from QuickBooks to MSCRM, only the header of the invoice appeared in MSCRM.  The invoice line items did not come across.  I believe this happened because the "item lists" from QuickBooks are not synchronized.  I realize there is a one time export of line items from QB to MSCRM.  I did that but I still cannot get the line item detail to appear in MSCRM after running an on demand synch from QB for invoices.

After reviewing the demo and the documentation, I have concluded that something is missing.  I look forward to having this confusion clarified.

    Thanks,

    Answer

I unfortuately do not have a good reason for the outdated documentation, I am looking into correcting that issue.

However, the product insert has been integreted directly within the product and is no longer needed within the sync options as it is displayed within the earlier version screenshot.

In order to bring the products over from quickbooks into crm you would use the Product Insert feature located within "Pre-Synch Configuration".  I know that you said you already did this but would you please do it again and note the status text that is displayed in the information area at the bottom of the application.  If you would post that back here on the forum or send it in an email that would help use to better diagnose the issue that is preventing your products from being in CRM.
