Can't synch after upgrade to QuickBooks 2010

I successfully did the upgrade to Datasynch 2010 last week and had successful datasynchs with our QuickBooks Pro 2009 installation after that. However, yesterday, I installed QuickBooks Pro 2010 and did the autoupgrade of it to R5 and now I simply see:

severe:Error Connecting to QuickBooks: Property or method failed (QBXMLRP2.RequestProcessor.1: Could not start QuickBooks.)

The log file has an entry that says "ERROR - 124 - Property or method failed (QBXMLRP2.RequestProcessor.1: Could not start QuickBooks.) - Line - 21"

    • I successfully logged in using pervasive user just to make sure that was working.
    • I restarted and no go.
    • I ran the Apollo configuration again with no problems and no go.

    What next?

Was QuickBooks 2009 uninstalled? If not, would it be possible to uninstall it to rule out 2 version being in the same machine the issue.

Also , when the company file was converted, was it renamed to a different file?

Last, whom is the Pervasive DataSynch service running as? Go to

Start - > Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> Pervasive DataSynch Service

Double click on it and click on the "Log On" tab. Look at the "This Account" field. Is your Windows username in there?

OK; everything (except the datafile) was uninstalled and everything was re-installed. Now - no matter what I do - if I try Product Matching (to dip the toes in before a full datasynch) I am seeing all my products want to be matched and the following error in the logfile p_ProductMatcher_GetSalesforceProducts.log:

01/27/2010 14:30:24   4     19 O Global    Login: error sf:LOGIN_MUST_USE_SECURITY_TOKEN (LOGIN_MUST_USE_SECURITY_TOKEN: Invalid username, password, security token; or user locked out. Are you at a new location? When accessing Salesforce--either via a desktop client or the API--from outside of your company’s trusted networks, you must add a security token to your password to log in. To receive a new security token, log in to salesforce.com at http://www.salesforce.com and click Setup | My Personal Information | Reset Security Token.)

I know I setup Datasynch 2010 properly because Step 2 of Datasynch Setup connects OK and does not give an error.

    What now?

I believe you have just found a defect.

I have logged this and we are currently working on the fix(will have it before the end of the week)

As a work around, please add your IP Address to the safe list of IP Addresses.

You can do this by login into Salesforce and going to Setup -> Security Controls -> Network Access -> New

It will ask you for an ip address range , which you can get by going to http://whatismyip.org

Our apologies for this issue. We are escalating this issue and it is now one of our top priorities.

I was incorrect; datasynch is NOT working, just Product Matcher. Please help!

Trying to display a Link Report also doesn't work. It generates a huge 22.7 MB logfile, but nothing shows in the browser.

We have two fixes in testing right now that deal with the issues you are encountering. Should have an update soon.

Your DataSynch should now be updated to the latest version, 2.5.3. You can see it in the top right hand corner of the DataSynch page.

If it isn't start up Pervasive Apollo ( Start -> All Programs -> Pervasive Apollo) for your upgrade to download.

Re: Can't synch after upgrade to QuickBooks 2010

OK, did the Apollo upgrade (and a restart), but all is not perfect. Here goes:

    1) the Link Report still yields nothing but a huge log file

    2) After the second datasynch, I see an error that is new to me: "QuickBooks Invoice Read - StatusCode: 500 - Error: The query request has not been fully completed. There was a required element ("4424-1148654610") that could not be found in QuickBooks."

    3) There is an Opty (and Opty Product) that refuses to datasynch from Salesforce to Quickbooks, even though we have  "touched" it and made sure the "Ready to Datasynch" is set.

That means that something that was previously synched ( most likely a product) , has now been deleted from QuickBooks.

In the Opportunity that won't sync, do you have a Product in it with Item List Id 4424-1148654610?

Would you please send us the log files by going into the DataSynch screen, click on "submit a support request" , select the "I think DataSynch is broken option" , and hit submit.

    Thanks.
