QuickBooks could not connect to company file.

I've followed all directions Quick Install Guide, but I'm still getting the message "QuickBooks could not connect to company file." when I click on [ Test Connection to Company File ] Any idea what the likely cause of this could be, or what I should check to troubleshoot? I've tried...
